CTERA Networks, provider of cloud storage enablement has announced a collaboration with SYNNEX Corp., distributor of IT products and services. SYNNEX’ CONVERGESolv group offers to its reseller and MSP customers CTERA’s all-in-one storage, backup and file sharing solutions that integrate customer-premises managed appliances and software agents with secure cloud storage through SYNNEX’ CLOUDSolv portal.

By partnering with SYNNEX, CTERA further extends its reach and commitment to the North America channel, providing new opportunities for resellers that seek to offer cloud storage services while retaining the usability and speed of traditional network storage solutions.

CTERA provides an easy entry into cloud storage, mitigating customers’ concerns about cloud security and performance, by using a hybrid solution that delivers LAN-speed access and end-to-end security. The solution includes out-of-the-box NAS, backup, file collaboration, and mobile access. By integrating all these functions into a single solution, CTERA greatly reduces the complexity and the cost of ownership compared to disparate file and backup server products, ideal for the limited budgets of small businesses.

With CTERA, SYNNEX is arming MSPs and resellers with a complete and cost-effective SMB and branch office storage solutions, deliver cloud storage gateway appliances ranging from 2-bay to 8-bay systems, supporting RAID, NAS and thin snapshots with a simple web-based management interface, managed backup agents for Windows, Mac OS and Linux. Application aware backup for Exchange, Active Directory and SQL Server, including bare-metal and single mailbox recovery options, and automatic cloud replication, using deduplication and encryption for maximum security and WAN efficiency. It also offers web-based interface allowing users to create project workspaces and invite users without requiring administrator intervention, iOS and Android apps for easy and secure data access from anywhere, amd remote administration and automatic firmware updates, dramatically minimizing the need for on-site visits and allowing centralized control over numerous customer sites from a single console.
