Kinetica introduces new offerings for installing, deploying applications on its GPU-accelerated database

Kinetica, vendor of in-memory database accelerated by GPUs, launched Monday immediate availability of Install Accelerator and Application Accelerator programs, two new software and services offerings designed to help customers ingest, explore and visualize streaming data sets, including for Internet of Things (IoT) use cases, by leveraging the power of GPUs.

Built from the ground up to scale linearly, Kinetica’s distributed, in-memory database accelerated by GPUs delivers truly real-time actionable intelligence on large, complex and streaming data sets: 100 times faster performance at 1/10 of the hardware of traditional databases. Kinetica makes real time a reality.

Organizations use Kinetica to simultaneously ingest, explore, analyze and visualize streaming data within milliseconds to make critical decisions and find efficiencies, lower cost, generate new revenue, and improve customer experience.

The goal of the Kinetica Install Accelerator is to install, configure and secure Kinetica inside an enterprise environment and provide organizations with the required skills to successfully operate Kinetica.

The Kinetica Install Accelerator package lets companies get Kinetica installed and configured using the common practices in their enterprise environment. It includes a pre-scoped two week consulting engagement designed to accelerate a successful Kinetica deployment and enables support for fast data access. A one-year license subscription for up to 1 TB of memory is also included.

The aim of the Kinetica Application Accelerator is to design, build and deploy the first application using Kinetica. A Kinetica solution architect will work with the customer team to review application requirements, and assist in designing a solution and implementing the use case using Kinetica best practices.

The Kinetica Application Accelerator package enables customers to quickly build and deploy an application on Kinetica in their enterprise environment. It includes a pre-scoped two-four week consulting engagement designed to accelerate a successful Kinetica application deployment. A one-year license subscription for up to 3 TB of memory is also included.

As part of the Kinetica Install Accelerator engagement includes deliverables such as installed and configured instance of Kinetica within customer enterprise environment or supported cloud environment; project documentation detailing activities completed within engagement and a detailed operations runbook for customer environment; and knowledge transfer from Kinetica consultant to customer operations team detailing customer environment and steps to successfully operate their Kinetica instance.

The Kinetica Application Accelerator program include fully functioning application deployed on Kinetica within customer enterprise environment or supported cloud environment; project documentation detailing application design, activities completed within engagement and a detailed operations runbook for customer environment; and knowledge transfer from Kinetica consultant to customer team detailing customer environment and steps to successfully operate application on Kinetica.

“GPUs process many computations much more efficiently and quickly than CPUs, making it ideal technology to handle streaming data sets, especially when location and time dimensions matter,” said Mike Perez, vice president of services, Kinetica. “The combination of GPU-accelerated analytics and integrated visualization, featuring full geospatial object type support, makes Kinetica the ideal solution for real-time data analysis. Our new Accelerator programs help customers translate business requirements into best practices for integrating Kinetica into their environment, designing solutions and implementing new use cases on Kinetica.”
