Broadcom completes acquisition of Brocade Communications which will now operate as indirect subsidiary



Broadcom Limited announced on Friday that it has completed its acquisition of Brocade Communications Systems Inc.

Brocade will operate as an indirect subsidiary of Broadcom and will be led by Jack Rondoni as general manager. Brocade’s common stock will now cease to be traded on Nasdaq.

Previously, Rondoni served as Senior Vice President of Storage Networking at Brocade, having joined the company in 2006. Rondoni brings over 20 years of experience in storage, networking and technology.

Broadcom designs, develops and supplies a range of digital and analog semiconductor connectivity solutions. Its extensive product portfolio serves four primary end markets – wired infrastructure, wireless communications, enterprise storage and industrial. Applications for products in these end markets include data center networking, home connectivity, set-top box, broadband access, telecommunications equipment, smartphones and base stations, data center servers and storage, factory automation, power generation and alternative energy systems, and electronic displays.
