Interlock Technology now part of Dell EMC Select Program; offers Dell EMC Centera users option to migrate to ECS

Interlock Technology has added exclusive application-side migration support for the Enterprise Vault (EV) Streamer API, enabling seamless migration of Enterprise Vault (EV) data from existing Dell EMC Centera systems to Dell EMC’s ECS object storage system.

By supporting the Streamer API from the EV application at the storage layer, Interlock Technology is able to provide high-speed migration to ECS S3 object storage systems without any modification by Dell EMC.

Interlock Technology is a vendor of data migrations from NAS and object-based storage systems, including compliant NAS and EMC Centera, to the storage of choice. Interlock’s field-tested, proprietary technology bypasses the application layer so it migrates data at ten times the speed of application-based migrations, as well as supports a broader range of file types than any other provider.

The initial company to offer high-speed Centera data migrations, Interlock Technology has expertise that enables it to handle challenging migrations. In addition, Interlock offers complete transparency during the migration, with pre-migration assessments and post-migrations reports. This ensures that there is an audit trail and preserves chain-of-custody, for legal and regulatory compliance.

“We are pleased to add yet another unique capability in support of mutual customers of Dell EMC and Veritas Enterprise Vault,” stated Gary Lieberman, co-founder and chief executive officer of Interlock Technology. “As customers deal with regular technology refresh cycles for their storage, they need a way to rapidly migrate their data to their next storage platform.  Generally, their biggest challenge will be the time it will take to migrate the data from the Centera that is being retired to the new ECS. Our exclusive EV Streamer support enables us to migrate data orders of magnitude faster than any alternative.”

“Now that Interlock services have been added to the Dell EMC Select program and it has been certified as a Veritas Certified™ migration partner for EV, customers can rest assured that Interlock Technology migrations will be fully supported by Dell EMC and Veritas post-migration,” noted David Scott, senior principal product manager at Veritas Technologies. “Interlock Technology’s exclusive storage-layer integration also means that customers will not experience any impact on their production system during the migration, or any downtime for cutover to the new ECS storage.”
