Layered Technologies Inc. (Layered Tech), a global provider of compliant hosting, managed dedicated hosting and on-demand virtualization/cloud computing services, has announced that it is compliant with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard 2.0 (PCI DSS). Compliance with PCI DSS is determined by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, an open global forum that develops, maintains and manages the PCI Security Standards.
Layered Tech has provided PCI compliant hosting and managed services under the previous standards and has already supported clients who have successfully been assessed against the new PCI 2.0 requirements. The latest criteria include clarification, additional guidance and evolving requirements to address emerging threats and changes in the market.
“Layered Tech actively participates in the proceedings of the PCI Security Standards Council, and in addition to maintaining a continual state of compliance, we leverage our relationships with Qualified Security Assessors (QSAs) in the industry to ensure we have a solid understanding of changing evaluation requirements,” said Layered Tech President Brad Hokamp. “Layered Tech helps clients understand the specific impacts of current PCI compliance regulations, and we are dedicated to creating solutions that enable clients to focus on their core business instead of worrying about technology requirements, including PCI compliance.”
Layered Tech’s compliant hosting solutions help enterprises adhere to the Payment Card Industry’s data security standards by providing a comprehensive layer of secure management services ranging from PCI-compliant monitoring, vulnerability scans and change management processes to an advanced suite of network administration and server management services.
When the major card brands initiated the CISP/PCI compliancy program in 2004, Layered Tech was the world’s first hosting company to meet the stringent security criteria by becoming 100 percent PCI DSS compliant for managed services. Since then, the company has continued to build upon its expertise, helping enterprises understand the complexities of security and achieve their own compliance.
