Disk storage systems market continues double-digit growth across all sectors in Q2

Worldwide external disk storage systems factory revenues posted year-over-year growth of 20.4 percent, totaling just over $5.0 billion, in the second quarter of 2010, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Disk Storage Systems Tracker. For the quarter, the total disk storage systems market grew to $6.8 billion in revenues, representing 20.7 percent growth from the prior year's second quarter. Total disk storage systems capacity shipped reach 3,645 petabytes, growing 54.6 percent year over year.
