(NetApp) announced Tuesday at the ongoing VMworld 2010 conference support for VMware vCloud Director software to extend NetApp's current leadership in delivering shared storage infrastructure for virtualized environments. VMware vCloud Director enables the delivery of cloud-based IT services for both private and public clouds ranging from on-demand, pay-as-you go infrastructure to enterprise-class, production-ready service offerings. IBM Corp. announced Monday that it completed the acquisition of Storwize, a privately-held company based in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Financial details were not disclosed. The companies announced in July a definitive agreement to pursue the acquisition.
